Well, as you know, Nan and Pop are off on a big trip up North and this is a blog-diary we will keep updated to let you know where we are and what we are up to. There will be pics too... We are not going until April - but until then we will be posting about all the things we are doing to plan for the trip. Feel free to leave a message... Love Ya All... Ok - so that's West from Broken Hill to Port Augusta for fish and chips at Barnacle Bills... Yum.. Then we turn North up the Stuart Highway and our first night stop will probably be Woomera... There used to be a huge Rocket-Testing Range there and now there is a museum where you can see some of the rockets. Coober Pedy - 18th April 2010 - - - - - - - - - - - - Photo Caption 1 OK... Left Broken Hill at 7.30am eating a Macca's B'fast... Pop driving - the caravan is towing well. Mostly doing about 80 km... Stopped at Yunta to stretch our legs and have a Ginger Beer out of the fridge... We got checked at the fruit fly checkpoint at Oodlawirra but we weren't carrying ANY fruit or veg... Turned left at Peterborough and via Wilmington and the dreaded HORROCKS PASS into Port Augusta where we had lunch at Barnacle Bills. Then hit the road again and turned North onto Stuarts Highway. The scenery is awesome... Flat country with big flat-top hills called Mesa's. Just lovely. We drove up to Woomera and stayed the night there. Then left on Sunday morning heading for Bon-Bon... Out in the wilds. But changed our minds and went on to Coober Pedy... Nice night - warmish... Sitting outside... We plan to be here until Tuesday - have a look around and see the sights...
